2009 Medical Futures Forum

Innovative Approaches to Access and Healthcare Solutions for the World's Poorest

Since its inception in 1984, Pfizer has sponsored more than 900 MAP grants, with award recipients selected by independent academic advisory boards made up of leaders in each program’s field. Beginning in 1999, MAP also provides an opportunity for these board members, as well as current award recipients, academic and medical leaders, to participate and engage in dialogue through the congenial setting of the Medical Futures Forum.

The 2009 Medical Futures Forum will be held at the Jumeirah Essex House in New York City on the evening of March 26, 2009, bringing together more than 100 key opinion leaders in a wide array of healthcare specialties. A brief cocktail reception will be followed by dinner and a keynote address on this year’s topic, “Innovative Approaches to Access and Healthcare Solutions for the World’s Poorest.” Following the keynote address, a 3-person expert panel will react and provide additional perspectives on the selected subject. This year’s event will be hosted by Dr. Joe Feczko, Pfizer Chief Medical Officer, and moderated by Dr. Jack Watters, Vice President for External Medical Affairs at Pfizer.
